The background image is of Queen Victoria Square in the centre of Hull the building on the left of the photograph is the City Hall this photograph was taken after a bombing raid on the city during the 2nd World War.
There is also an image of a German Plane edited into the mood board, an image of an unexploded bomb being recovered during the war and a faint image of a land army pin, the same pin that my Grandma had (as she was in the land army, after working on the docks driving cranes during the first part of the war) and that I now have.
I did lots of research into the war, I asked family members about what other family members did during the war, which was very interesting. Doing the research was very moving, having recently lost a close family member who did an awful lot during the war. It defiantly made me think about how differently former generations worked, and how they took everything in their stride. My Grandparents and Great Grandparents did an awful lot for this country during both of the world wars, and I am very proud of them for helping to fight the evil in this world. Other members of my family gave their lives fighting for our country, for which I think we are still in doubt to.
Images where taken from Google and edited in Photoshop by myself.
