My image above (created in Photoshop using Photographs from Google) shows
photos of Cube2 which was a garden designed for the Melbourne Flower and
Garden Show 2013. Display was very important within the design of this
garden, display gardens need to be able to be viewed from many different
angles as they are likely to draw in vast amounts of people wanting to
view them. This garden has been well designed as it can be viewed
from almost every angle but each angle creates a different way of viewing the
garden. The display elements within the garden give the impression that the
garden is well lived in. As this garden was designed for a Flower and Garden
show in Melbourne Australia it has been designed to incorporate the Australian
way of life, spending most of your time living outside in the garden.
Cube2 was the winner of best in show at the
Melbourne Flower and Garden Show on the 20th March, 2013.
Display is used in every area of design from Garden Design (as above) to Interior Design, from how products are displayed within a retail environment, to the layout of a shop, from how drinks are displayed behind a bar in a restaurant or a pub, to how a menu is laid out enticing you to order a lovely meal.
Photographs from Google and edited in Photoshop by myself.
